From Sue…

Thank you for coming to virtually greet me, or at least the version of me that I’ve put up on this website. To current friends, hello! To those I don’t know, I hope that someday we will meet in person, to share music or even just hang out and have a good time. I’m always up for that.

I didn’t start writing music with the intention of sharing it. I’m a big nerd and in the beginning it was an attempt to integrate my intellect and my soul. But over time I have come to appreciate that music is a conversation, and a community too, and I want to contribute to it.

So I hope you enjoy listening to my music, and getting to know me a little. If you like what you hear, come meet me at an open mic or join my mailing list. And hope to see you soon!

Short bio:

Sue Haney’s music features her clear, lyrical voice overlaying inventive harmonies, tinged with folk influences from her upbringing in rural upstate New York.

After picking up the ukulele in 2014, Sue began to write songs, inspired by the desire to play music that reflected her own emotional experience as a mother, wife and human being.

Now living in metrowest Boston, you will meet her at area ukulele meetups and open mics.
